**Job Title:** Associate – Budget Analyst

The Operations team at WRI India supports crucial organizational functions, interacting with donors, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth program implementation.
**About the Role:**
WRI India seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to support operational and administrative activities. This role involves maintaining budgets for complex grants, tracking expenditures, monitoring contracts and sub-agreements, event management, and other administrative tasks.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Financial Management (30%):** Update and maintain project budgets using WRI’s budgeting software (TM1); collaborate with the accounting team, payments team, HR, and program teams; coordinate timesheets and expense reporting; ensure compliance with grant and contract agreements.
* **Contracts Management (30%):** Process documentation for agreements, contracts, and purchase orders; monitor contract performance; work with partners to ensure compliance with sub-grant and contract requirements; maintain supporting reports; process invoices and payments.
* **Conference, Event & Travel Support (20%):** Coordinate conference and event logistics; provide travel and visa support; support financial management for conference and event logistics.
* **Administration (20%):** Coordinate team meetings; assist with annual planning; update new hire information; coordinate recruitment and onboarding (if needed); manage program trackers.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
* Two or more years of full-time experience in financial management, budgeting, administration, or nonprofit operations.
* Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple projects.
* Strong attention to deadlines, particularly regarding grant compliance and contract monitoring.
* Strong process orientation with sensitivity to quality, timelines, and organizational systems.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work well in a team.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), web-based communication tools (Skype, Zoom), and CRM databases (Salesforce).
* Budgeting experience with Excel or other budgeting software is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
**Compensation:** 10,50,000 INR to 12,50,000 INR CTC per annum (commensurate with experience). The position is a 1-year term hire (extendable based on performance).
