About the ClimateRISE Alliance:

ClimateRISE Alliance is a collaborative platform anchored by Dasra, that aims to build knowledge, consensus, and common outcomes with more than 100 civil society organizations working at the intersections of climate action and resilience for the most vulnerable communities. The Alliance’s objective is to shape an India view, a common vocabulary, and enable a multi-stakeholder engagement approach on climate action in the country.

About the Role:

The Dasra ClimateRISE Team plays the role of the field catalyser to bring together funders, think tanks, CSOs and sector experts. The Associate will provide support in driving Dasra’s communication efforts in ClimateRISE work stream. S/he will be directly involved in the implementation of campaign plans and communication strategies under the guidance of the manager and team lead driving respective initiatives. The Associate will also work with partners and creative agencies to further Dasra’s campaign and communications goals.

•Knowledge Codification: Codifying sectoral knowledge in simplistic language which is accessible to a wider audience and creating content for blogs, social media, media, newsletter, reports etc.

•Communication Strategies and Implementation: End to end implementation of communication campaigns and other deliverables aligned to ClimateRISE Alliance’s goals and objectives. Implementing creative strategies and curating materials for op-eds content, social media posts, videos, documentaries, podcasts, and graphics to build ClimateRISE Alliance as a thought leader in the sector and handle social media of the alliance for building credibility.

• Research: Conduct research to understand latest events and relevant sector movements in India to then translate into building effective strategies. Research and analyze a wide range of specialized material on campaign issues and strategies.

•Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including the ClimateRISE CSO partners, funder and creative agencies for timely deliveries and meaningful collaboration.

•Project Management Support: Support with creating project reports and proposals as well as monitor budgets and grants with all stakeholders

Skill-Set Required:

• Graduate with 3-6 years of work experience in the development space, advisory, research & communication domain.

• Written & Communication skills: Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences

• Project Management: Achieves project deliverables within deadlines, effectively manages own time and identifies conflicts/roadblocks with some support and guidance.

• Stakeholder Management: Understands the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and works to develop relationships towards a single goal/ project/ deliverable.

• Understanding and basic knowledge of designing on platforms such as Photoshop and Illustrator is good to have.

• Passion for the development sector and the communities we serve is a must.
