**Job Title:** Associate – Content and Training

 

**Organization:** Leadership For Skilled Education Foundation (LFE) in partnership with Mantra4Change for the Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) project.

 

**Location:** Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India.  Frequent travel to rural areas within the state is required.

 

**About the Organization:**

 

Leadership For Equity (LFE) is a non-profit organization working to improve public education systems in India.  They partner with government bodies to develop and implement programs that enhance teaching practices and student learning.  Mantra4Change, a fellow non-profit, collaborates with LFE on the SALT project, a multi-year initiative to improve the quality of education in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on foundational learning, student-teacher interactions, and institutional capacity.  The project works closely with the Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education and other state-level entities.

 

**Job Summary:**

 

The Content Associate will play a crucial role in the SALT project, working closely with program managers and implementation coordinators to achieve project goals.  This involves collaborating with government stakeholders and internal teams to develop and deliver high-quality training materials.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Research evidence-based practices and subject-specific training content for academic subjects and pedagogy.

* Design presentations (PPTs) and training sessions for teachers, school complex leaders, and government officers.

* Develop blended learning course components, including presentations, voice-over narration scripts, lesson plans, and other materials to support teacher professional development.

* Design assessments to measure knowledge acquisition from training.

* Coordinate with LMS platform designers to ensure content alignment.

* Contribute to project reports and support program managers and coordinators in achieving project deliverables.

* Conduct regular progress update meetings with organizational leadership and stakeholders.

* Create timely project status and impact reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).

* Conduct observations and user interviews to gather feedback and improve content.

* Participate in organizational team activities and structures.

 

 

**Requirements:**

 

* **Education:** Degree in education, teacher development, a related social science, or management discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.

* **Experience:** 2-5 years of experience leading large-scale training programs, preferably with government entities or government school teachers. 1-2 years of teaching experience is desirable. Proven experience in content design, classroom teaching, or teacher training is essential. Experience working in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana is preferred.

 

**Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:**

 

* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Functional knowledge of Telugu is preferred.

* Strong content development skills, including creating video scripts, storyboards, and training sessions.

* Ability to work independently and proactively in a semi-structured environment.

* Belief in the potential of public sector improvement and systemic change to achieve equitable outcomes.

* Basic understanding of social equity, development discourse, and Indian education policy.

* Adaptability and resourcefulness in responding to changing responsibilities.

* Openness to learning and collaboration.

* Proficiency in creating presentations and using Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.

* Patience and resilience in overcoming challenges.

 

 

**Compensation:**
