## Associate Director – Government Alliances, Partnerships

**The/Nudge Institute**, a leading action institute focused on building resilient livelihoods and alleviating poverty, is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as an **Associate Director – Government Alliances, Partnerships** in **Bengaluru, Karnataka**.

**About The/Nudge Institute:**

The/Nudge is dedicated to creating sustainable livelihoods and achieving a poverty-free India. We work with diverse communities including women, farmers, tribals, and youth, focusing on rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion.  We have partnered with over 15 central and state government organizations and have successfully reached 10 states with $250M of government funding, impacting 1.25M people. 

Our incubator, accelerator, and grand challenges have supported over 200 social entrepreneurs, including 17 Forbes 30U30, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, and 1 Time Magazine cover recipient.  Supported by 90+ philanthropists, 40+ corporates, and 15+ foundations (including Gates, Mackenzie Scott, Vinod Khosla, Nandan Nilekani, Tata Trusts, Skoll, Meta, LinkedIn, HDFC, Mphasis, KPMG, and L’Oreal), we are working towards a “poverty-free India, within our lifetime.”

**About the Alliances Team:**

Our Alliances team plays a pivotal role in driving strategic partnerships with central and state governments to scale livelihood opportunities for the poor.  

**Responsibilities:**

*  Develop a deep understanding of The/Nudge’s programs to effectively represent our work to government stakeholders.

*  Lead the development and execution of the Government Alliances team’s overall strategy and goals.

*  Identify, build, and manage networks and relationships within government to support the identification and scaling of livelihood opportunities.

*  Craft targeted and compelling messaging tailored to each category of government stakeholder across various platforms (website, WhatsApp, etc.).

*  Balance short-term results with long-term goals, ensuring sustained impact.

*  Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders to drive successful program implementation.

*  Build and manage a lean, high-performing team.

*  Represent The/Nudge at ecosystem events as needed.

**Qualifications:**

*  Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations (preferred, not mandatory).

*  15+ years of experience, with a significant portion in external facing roles.

*  Willingness to travel extensively within India.

*  Prior experience in working with government is highly preferred.
