India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) is a nonprofit that aims to be India’s preeminent leadership development organization for the social sector. We aim to strengthen the social sector through talent infusion and upskilling programs, in order to create catalytic impact at scale.

Overview

In order to achieve the mission, ILSS has a 3 pronged approach:

  • Bringing talent from across sectors into leadership and board positions in the social sector
  • Running research-backed skillbuilding programs in key domains for the social sector,
  • Strengthening the social sector ecosystem to instill a strong focus on high- quality talent/talent development.

Since 2017, ILSS has run successful programs like:

  • 11 hybrid (in-person and online) Leadership Programs, designed to enable senior leaders from various sectors to make informed transitions into the social sector. The program currently has 200+ Alumni out of which 110+ have already transitioned to the social sector.
  • A Fundraising Program in with over 80+ Alumni, and growing
  • An upcoming People Practices Program for social sector leaders to retain, attract, and grow talent for their organizations
  • An upcoming Board Program for CXOs in the corporate sector to serve as board members for social impact organizations

Position Summary

ILSS is looking to hire an Associate Director to lead marketing and outreach function. The person will use social media and other digital marketing tools to build and convert a pipeline of candidates for various training programs offered by ILSS. We are looking for a committed and collaborative individual, who will work in a highly dynamic environment with a closely-knit, highly motivated and entrepreneurial team. Hence, it is an amazing opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working in the social impact space.

Job Location – Delhi-NCR

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the AD – Marketing and Outreach will be as follows:

  • Help build and improve the social media profile of ILSS across platforms including Linkedin, Facebook and Instgram
  • Create an implement digital marketing strategies to increase the reach and visibility of ILSS
  • Build partnerships across corporates and social sector organizations to generate leads for candidates for ILSS
  • Manage the process from interest to registration, evaluation and final onboarding for candidates
  • Drive required events (online and offline) which can help market ILSS programs

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent marketing skills in social media context – ability to understand the value proposition of ILSS and position it on various platforms so that it appeals to a cross section of candidates
  • Ability to build relationships and forge partnerships with stakeholders like HR heads of large companies, Social Sector Organizations etc
  • Selling mindset with an ability to lead a small team which can evaluate and convert the leads generated from various sources into candidates for the programs

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a high quality institution
  • 8-12 years of experience in driving marketing and outreach programs to get candidates or recruiters into an institution
  • Experience of building/leading a small team

Compensation

Depending on the candidate’s experience, ILSS offers compensation that is at par with Indian philanthropy pay scales.
