The Apprentice Project (TAP) is a for-impact organization determined to transform Government/low-income schools by offering holistic development of all children. At TAP, we use choice-based learning (Visual arts, Performing arts, or STEM) to develop leadership skills.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate Director of Program Operations to direct and oversee the operations vertical of our ed-tech based social and emotional learning programs. The programs are implemented through government partnerships and large NGOs to reach 100,000 students through a WhatsApp chatbot-based model.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our programs, developing and executing project plans, managing budgets, and overseeing staff and volunteer teams. You will work closely with government partners, large NGOs, and other departments to ensure that all program operations align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
Key Job Areas
Strategic Planning
● Develop and execute strategies to scale the program, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and objectives
● Work collaboratively with other departments to align program operations with overall organizational goals and objectives.
● Identify opportunities for partnership and collaboration with academic institutions, NGOs, corporates, funders, government & the community to increase the reach and impact of the programmes
Program and Partnerships Management
● Oversee the implementation and execution of the program through government partnerships and large NGOs
● Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for educational programs
● Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the programmes, rigorously evaluate, and engage all stakeholders proactively in making improvements
● Build structures, systems to support the execution of the programmes in the best possible manner with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth.
● Develop and maintain policies and procedures for program operations, including program governance, content development, and quality assurance
● Manage and mentor teams for enabling the development of the Senior Managers/Managers and other team members.
●Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners
Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
● Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with at least 8 years in the social sector and 2 years in a strategic leadership role.
● Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships with government entities, NGOs, and educational institutions.

Compensation is provided at par with the sector benchmark for this position in alignment with the individual’s prior experience and qualifications.
