**Job Location:** Guwahati, Assam, India (781001).  Requires willingness to travel within Assam and occasional travel to Delhi.

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Experience Required:** At least 2-3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on decentralized energy solutions, energy policy, or energy systems integration. Experience working with government bodies, distribution companies (DISCOMs), or energy utilities is highly desirable.

**Responsibilities:**

* **Technical Support & Consumer Data Analysis:** Conduct technical analysis of renewable energy (RE) solutions, particularly decentralized renewable energy (DRE) systems, to design financially sustainable models for Assam DISCOMs. Analyze consumer data to identify subsidized consumer demographics, energy consumption patterns, and potential for RE adoption. Collaborate with Assam DISCOMs to integrate consumer insights into energy solution design.

* **Literature Review & Policy Analysis:** Conduct literature reviews on successful DRE solutions and policy frameworks. Analyze and recommend policies to support DRE scaling within the state.

* **Stakeholder Coordination & Event Organization:** Serve as the primary contact for Swaniti Initiative, coordinating with Assam state government departments, DISCOMs, and external partners. Organize workshops, consultations, and meetings with stakeholders. Lead the development of educational and outreach events.

* **Policy Advocacy & Recommendations, Monitoring & Impact Assessment:** Assist in advocating for policy changes to facilitate DRE adoption. Provide technical and policy recommendations to government agencies and DISCOMs. Support monitoring and evaluation of RE projects. Collect data and feedback to refine approaches.

* **Collaboration with Partners:** Collaborate with a consortium of partners and external experts. Ensure smooth coordination between Swaniti, partners, and stakeholders.

* **Reporting and Documentation:** Report progress to the Lead-Energy and Environment. Maintain detailed documentation of activities, findings, and recommendations. Develop case studies and prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.  Additional certifications in renewable energy, energy policy, or sustainable development are advantageous.

* Strong understanding of DRE solutions (rooftop solar, agriculture solarization, microgrids, energy storage systems).

* Familiarity with renewable energy policy frameworks, grid integration challenges, and financing models.

* Knowledge of energy data analysis.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with government departments and stakeholders.

* Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Assamese and Hindi is advantageous.
