Job Description

The Associate will lead training programs while supporting efficient and smooth functioning and operations of all environment education initiatives nationally including Eco-Champs (School based Program) and/or other environmental education initiatives in Bhumi.

Primary Responsibilities of Program Associate:

Lead and support training of volunteers and teachers to take the program to more children globally
Oversee day-to-day operations including project delivery, logistics & reporting of the training program
Support eco-champs project operations and delivery including outreach and volunteer management
Collaborating with corporates, colleges, schools and other organizations to identify, manage and execute various volunteering opportunities for the Environment.

Requirements

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

At least one year of experience in project management is preferable
Prior experience in environmental issues and relevant sustainable solutions is
Prior experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage.
Candidates with volunteering experience in Bhumi or similar organisations preferred
Any graduate (environmental science is preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
Good written and verbal communication skills– English
Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

Scope: Full time

Reporting to: Assistant Program Manager, Eco-champs

Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Virtual

Minimum commitment: Two years
