We are transforming India through volunteering, and we want to make volunteering a national habit. We are looking for someone passionate about promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among citizens towards the environment, especially youth and children.

The associate Eco-Champs will be responsible for and support in ensuring efficient functioning of all environmental education initiatives nationally including Eco-Champs (School-based program), Eco-Champs Train the Volunteer program, Eco-friendly School Awards, Eco-Fest, etc. The associate will support overall strategic thinking and lead operational responsibilities, including program delivery to students, program design, project planning, volunteer management, teacher training, and execution of activities toward environmental education.

Primary Responsibilities of Program Lead:

  • Lead Eco-Champs school program, including functions such as outreach, partnerships, curriculum and pedagogy, trainer & volunteer management and program delivery
  • Lead and support volunteer and trainers in delivering the program to children
  • Support initiatives including camps, fests and contests as part of Eco-Champs both at a strategy level and in leading operations
  • Lead day-to-day operations including project delivery, logistics & reporting of the programme
  • Partnering with corporates, colleges and similar organizations to identify, manage and execute various volunteering opportunities in Eco-Champs.

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in project management and leading teams
  • Prior experience in environmental issues and relevant sustainable solutions
  • Prior experience working in curriculum designing or teacher training is preferable
  • Prior experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage
  • Graduates in any science/environment studies related courses preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to drive outcome oriented plans through the team’s collective effort
  • Good influencing skills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills– English
  • Good computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Highly resourceful team-player, who is self-driven
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

Other Information:

Scope: Full time

Remuneration:  Rs. 4 – 5 lakhs per annum, negotiable based on candidate’s profile

Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Location: Working from Chennai and need based intervention. Virtually for all other locations

Minimum commitment: One year
