Website The Convergence Foundation (TCF)
About The Convergence Foundation and TCF Network:
The Convergence Foundation (TCF) is an Indian philanthropic foundation committed to enhancing the lives of all Indians through rapid and sustained economic growth. Founded by Ashish and Manisha Dhawan in April 2021, TCF institutionalised their personal philanthropic efforts, which included pioneering institutions such as Ashoka University and Central Square Foundation. We believe that economic growth is the most powerful engine for ensuring basic human welfare, and therefore, we focus on two pillars. Pillar 1 comprises areas such as manufacturing, infrastructure, and ease of doing business that can have an immediate impact on increasing the labour intensity of Indias growth. Pillar 2 encompasses areas that enhance human capability and meet basic human needs such as education, nutrition, and clean air.
To achieve our mission, we work on three focus areas at the organisational, network, and ecosystem levels:
- Build pioneering institutions that solve some of India’s most complex socio-economic problems.
- Anchor the network of pioneering organisations and leaders that can learn from and support each other in their long-term mission.
- Shape the ecosystem in critical areas such as the role of strategic philanthropy, accelerated economic growth and effective provision of basic goods, and system reform strategies.
The TCF Network of organisations includes:
Central Square Foundation (school education; est. 2012)
Air Pollution Action Group (air pollution; est. 2019)
India Leaders for Social Sector (social sector capacity building; est. 2017)

Sports and Society Accelerator (physical activity and sports; est. 2022)
The Infravision Foundation (infrastructure; est. 2022)
Centre for Research In Schemes and Policies (effectiveness of government schemes; est. 2022)
We build long-lasting institutions that work relentlessly to create impact in the sectors we operate in. Ultimately, we aim to transform the lives of all Indians by enabling rapid and sustained economic growth, an area that is traditionally underserved by philanthropy.
