**Key Responsibilities:**
– **Research and Documentation:** Conduct secondary research on a variety of topics, particularly related to gender equity; support landscaping of organizations in the sector and gather insights on emerging trends and developments; assist in drafting notes, memos, briefs, and summaries based on research and discussions.
– **Coordination and Project Support:** Support the team and leadership in coordinating across tasks, workstreams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects; coordinate with internal teams to monitor and ensure timely completion of deliverables as per project plans; assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, webinars, and events; take detailed notes during meetings and prepare concise summaries, highlighting key takeaways and action items.
– **Relationship Management and Reporting:** Support the team in managing key donor and partner relationships, including maintaining documentation and contributing to reporting efforts.
– **Project Execution:** Contribute to various parts of a project or assignment, which may involve single or multiple projects at a time; provide operational and logistical support as needed for successful project delivery.
– **Sector Knowledge:** Stay abreast of developments and trends in the development sector, with a focus on gender equity and related themes.
**Skillsets Required:**
– Dynamic, highly energetic with proven time management skills and the ability to work without a high level of supervision; ideal for self-starters.
– Graduate with 3-5 years of work experience in either development space, advisory, research & analytics, business processes, operations, etc.
– Written & Communication Skills: Summarize key points and learnings comprehensively, leverage appropriate communication aids, and write and communicate in a clear, concise manner with a strong stakeholder lens; ability to draft compelling narratives through reports, proposals, decks, and verbal presentations; ability to ‘read the room’ and gauge how audiences are responding to adjust communication.
– Presentation Skills: Make PowerPoint presentations using tools like Canva.
– Project Management Support: Plan for and achieve project deliverables within deadlines, effectively manage own time, and identify conflicts/roadblocks with support and guidance.
– Research & Data Analytics Support: Collect relevant and accurate information/data from credible sources, synthesize key insights.
– Fundraising Support: Effectively support senior team members in preparing documentation, communicating, and preparing for funder requirements.
– Stakeholder Management Support: Understand the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and work to develop relationships toward a single goal/project/deliverable.
– Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
– Practices attentive and active listening and can accurately restate the opinions of others.
– Ability to work with great agility in an environment with ambiguity.
