**About the Role**
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of people management at the state/project level. The Associate, Human Resources will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Hiring:**
* Execute the recruitment process according to program requirements.
* Manage resumes, schedule tests and interviews, and assist in the interview process.
* Conduct background and reference checks.
* Implement the induction process for new staff.
* **Administrative Tasks:**
* Update staff details in the software (ERP) and maintain employee files/folders.
* Issue offer letters and appointment letters.
* Maintain attendance and leave records.
* Complete contract termination paperwork and assist with exit interviews.
* Complete ex-employee verifications.
* Prepare HR-related MIS reports.
* Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and processes.
* Conduct regular training for all staff on organizational policies and processes.
* Coordinate with central, state, and field teams.
* Maintain records related to grievances, disciplinary actions, performance feedback, etc.
* Assist staff in availing welfare benefits under various schemes.
* Address staff concerns and help in resolving them.
* Perform any other work assigned by the reporting officer.
**Reporting to:**
The Associate, Human Resources will report to the State/Program Head and Lead, Human Resources.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
**Essential:**
* College degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or a diploma in Human Resources.
* Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English or Hindi and regional language.
**Preferred:**
* Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
* Ability to listen patiently and be non-judgmental.
* Ability to build trust-based relationships with staff.
* Ability to build rapport with people and work well with diverse teams.
* Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
* Good training skills.
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently.
* Experience in a similar position/role will be an added advantage.

**Travel:**
Pratham teams work in rural areas, so willingness to travel within the state and to other Pratham offices is essential for this position.
