About the Program

The Youth program’s objective is to provide a holistic development platform for young people as well as provide a lifelong, continuous learning opportunity to disadvantaged youth. We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21​st century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.

Capacity Building @Youth Program

The Youth Program at Quest Alliance is a program focussed on building youth employability through the use of educational technology to foster self learning and 21st century skills. This role is a part of the Capacity Building (CB) team of the Youth Program. Capacity Building is a multidisciplinary team that works at the intersection of training, content development, research and technology for the education and employability sector. The goal of the CB team is to create engaging learning experiences across the spectrum of our stakeholders – Youth, Educators, Leaders & Parents. As a team, CB is continuously working on new innovations using learner-centric design, adult learning principles, blended learning approach to make our learning experience truly facilitative and self learning focussed. ​

About the Role

The Leadership and Educator Development Coordinator is responsible for anchoring all the educator capacity building initiatives in the North Region (consisting of 3 focus and 4 non-focus States). They are also responsible for the design, implementation and program support for all Leadership Development projects in the Youth Program. 

The Youth Program has two flagship offerings for leadership development:

The Principal Leadership Program (PLP) for ITIs

Organization Development (OD) for Civil Society Organizations (CSO)

Delivery of Leadership Development Program as per annual goals of the Focus States, with differential State-wise strategies 

  • Work closely with the identified personnel/POC from Focus States for mobilization and other requirements for enrolment.
  • Iterate the central training design to suit regional needs
  • Plan and share a training calendar with State or regional POC and initiate communication with internal and external stakeholders in consultation with AD.
  • Empanel consultants for all States, to lead the delivery of the program and effectively achieve the agreed outcomes
  • Manage the SOPs, contracts and payments for all empanelled consultants.
  • Support in preparation and planning required to implement the capacity-building workshops – venue, reading material, facilitator availability, logistics, etc 

Design and monitoring of post-training capacity building activities for Institute Leaders

  • Analyze the feedback data to build strong feedback loops between State teams, Leaders and LE teams, to develop a strong post-training learning environment for leaders.
  • Develop monitoring systems to ensure the sustainability of the change projects created by leaders. 
  • Ensure all the gender indicators are upheld during all the webinars, training sessions, and through all stages of program implementation.

Anchor Content Development, Design, and related Coordination for Leadership Development offerings in the Youth Program

  • Identify the content development needs of the PLP program in print and digital format
  • Explore innovative digital communication strategies (IVRS, chatbots, whatsapp groups) to promote engagement and commitment in leaders to create change
  • Support in building content collaterals for print and digital campaigns for the PLP

Contribute to and coordinate Organization Development of CSO partners

  • Ideate with the senior members of the Youth Program (Ecosystem leads, Regional Heads) for the Organizational Development journey for CSOs
  • Coordinate with senior members of the Youth Program and the consultant for delivery, impact assessment and M&E of the OD project

Anchor all the educator capacity building initiatives in the North Region

  • Manage the CB SPOC for the North Region, to ensure smooth delivery of all CB initiatives (training, post-training support etc)
  • Uphold the quality of CB initiatives, including strategic analysis of M&E tools, creation of feedback loops and
  • Act as an SME on complete CB cycle: Training needs analysis, Training design, Training delivery, Impact and quality management and Post-training capacity building for educators in the North Region
  • Contribute to innovations for educator capacity building through ed tech tools, adult learning principles, systemic advocacy, systems change frameworks etc   

Requirements

Qualification & Skill Sets

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in working with leadership level stakeholders (principals, CSO leaders, institute heads) to delivery capacity building programs
  • Strong experience in design and delivery of blended learning experiences for adults (especially senior leadership)
  • Working knowledge of andragogy, in synchronous and asynchronous learning environments
  • Impact-driven, 360 degree approach to capacity building ranging from pre-training, training, post-training strategies
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in English, Hindi and a regional language
  • Ability to apply knowledge gained from one project to the next
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a team environment
