Dhwani Rural Information Systems is a social/development sector-focused advisory and consulting firm that develops IT applications for NGOs, government functionaries, CSRs, and international funding organizations to manage their projects and programs in India and abroad. We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple projects using our in-house IT platforms, mForm and mGrant, for CSR grant management and M&E requirements of clients. The Associate Project Manager will work under the guidance of the Project Manager, but may also be responsible for independently leading a project as needed. 

Job Overview:

As an Associate Project Manager at Dhwani Rural Information Systems, you will support the delivery of multiple projects using our in-house IT platforms, mForm and mGrant, for our clients in the social/development sector. You will work under the guidance of the Project Manager, but may also be responsible for independently leading a project as needed. You will act as a point of contact with our CSR clients and the internal tech and non-tech teams at Dhwani, and be responsible for understanding client project details in sectors like education, disaster relief, health, rural development, etc., preparation of framework/log framework, digitization of the M&E framework on the platform, giving software demos, requirement gathering for digitization, software feature development discussions, dashboard indicator and reporting framework design, data clean-up and update process, training manual and training, coordination with NGOs, partners for reporting, data management, and overall project progress reporting.  

In this this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of the Portal and facilitating engagement with NGO partners and volunteers. This position combines operational excellence, data management, and strategic planning to enhance the program’s effectiveness and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Working under the guidance of the Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple projects using our in-house IT platforms, mForm and mGrant, for CSR grant management and requirements of clients.
  • Coordinating with client’s vendors and partners, ensuring on-time reporting, query resolution, training, etc.
  • Requirement gathering for designing reporting formats and dashboard designs.
  • Preparation of framework/Log framework and feedback mechanism and on the platform.
  • Delivering monthly, quarterly, and yearly Power BI reports to the client
  • Data clean-up & data upload.
  • Ensure the successful execution of the program by addressing operational issues.
  • Training manual and training of clients and their partners.
  • Understanding client’s requirements to improve processes.
  • Drawing insights from data gathered to improve the project in collaboration with client.
  • Creating training materials on mGrant, Industry’s best practices in program management.
  • Quick research to support with projects design and strategy in the areas of CSR, education, disaster relief, rural development, tech4good, survey platforms, dashboarding tools, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community members, to achieve program objectives.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate between NGOs and clients for seamless collaboration. 

Essential Technical Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in survey or MIS design/overseeing survey implementation/managing survey teams for Baseline-Midline assessments, M&E projects, etc.
  • Strong research skills (qualitative and quantitative, impact assessments, report writing, log frame design)
  • Experience on working with data in excel for data storage, data cleaning, data analysis.
  • Experience of using BI tools like Google Studio, Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Exposure to different off-the-shelf survey solutions (Google Forms, Survey Monkey, Surveyor, etc.)
  • Collaborating with NGOs and volunteers to gather their insights for the enhancement of the portal.
  • Providing training and onboarding for all NGO partners and assisting in the creation of documents to be distributed to NGOs and volunteers.  Offer practical use-cases rooted in program experiences.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage external vendors and partners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
  • Support in strategizing and outlining plans for the development of functionalities.
  • Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) procedure for recently designed functionalities.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preference given to candidates with postgraduate education in a relevant field such as Rural Management, Public Policy, Economics, Social Studies, or Development Studies.

Preference given to candidates with a degree from a reputable institution such as IRMA, APU, IIFM, XIMB, TISS, IIHMR or fellowship from YIF, Anubhav Lecture Series, India Fellow, Indian School of Public Policy, Gandhi, Teach for India, Genpact Fellowship.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Analyst/Associate in a social/development sector focused organization such as an NGO, social impact consulting firm, CSR, think tank, or research organization.
  • Experience working with IT platforms and software solutions is a plus
