**Job Description: Associate – Social Protection (Siliguri/Jalpaiguri)**  

 

**About the Company:**  

Swaniti Initiative is an organization dedicated to strengthening public service delivery by collaborating with state and local governments across South Asia, with a strong focus on India. The organization works on interventions such as enhancing scheme implementation, providing research support to Members of Parliament, and developing data-technology tools for decision-making. Currently, Swaniti Initiative works with over 200 Hon’ble Members of Parliament and serves as an advisor to state governments to ensure the delivery of schemes to the last mile. The major verticals of work include climate and sustainability, social protection, and livelihood.  

 

**Job Location:**  

Siliguri/Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India (Zip/Postal Code: 734001)  

 

**Experience Required:**  

– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, field operations, or working with government programs.  

– Strong experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with local governance structures and community-based organizations.  

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. **Stakeholder & Partner Management:**  

   – Manage relationships with implementation partners in Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri to ensure effective collaboration and smooth execution of field activities.  

   – Build a strong and sustainable partnership ecosystem for long-term impact.  

 

2. **Capacity Building & Training:**  

   – Identify training needs for implementation partners, PRI members, and government departments based on project goals.  

   – Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions to enhance service delivery and implementation efficiency.  

 

3. **Project Implementation & Coordination:**  

   – Oversee day-to-day implementation of field activities and ensure project milestones are met within the agreed timeline and budget.  

   – Address challenges during project execution, escalating issues when necessary.  

   – Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities and engage with stakeholders.  

 

4. **Monitoring & Compliance:**  

   – Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.  

   – Ensure all project documentation is complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.  

   – Comply with Swaniti Initiative’s standards and government regulations.  

 

5. **Financial & Contractual Coordination:**  

   – Coordinate contract agreements with implementation partners, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.  

   – Oversee invoicing processes for timely submission and disbursement of payments as per contract terms.  

   – Maintain accurate financial records related to partner contracts and project expenditures.  

 

**Qualifications & Skills Required:**  

– Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Rural Development, or a related field.  

– Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  

– Proficiency in data management, documentation, and reporting.  

– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
