## Associate Teacher – English

**iTeach Schools** is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality education to students from low-income communities in India. We believe that all children deserve a chance to succeed, regardless of their background. We run 12 free and high-impact secondary schools and a college-to-career program in Pune and Navi Mumbai, serving over 4,500 students and 3,000 alumni. Our goal is to grow to 30 schools and 10,000 students in the next five years.

**Job Location:** Near Amanora, Pune, India

**Experience Required:** 1-2 years of teaching experience in a secondary grade is preferred.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Teaching (60% time):**

    * Design and deliver engaging lessons using existing resources and innovative approaches.

    * Teach one or two subjects of your expertise to a class of approximately 30 students.

    * Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to students.

    * Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

    * Collaborate with parents to create a positive learning environment.

* **Mentoring (20% time):**

    * Mentor 15-20 students throughout the year.

    * Develop strategies to improve student study habits, attendance, and academic performance.

    * Guide students in identifying their career aspirations.

* **Leading Projects (20% time):**

    * Collaborate with the School Principal and Vice Principal to lead projects that enhance student learning, such as Annual Day, Sports Day, and Hobby Clubs.

    * Develop leadership skills and mentor new teachers.

**Qualifications:**

* **Required:** Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic and holistic performance.

* **Preferred:** B Ed Degree.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

We offer competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate’s education and work experience. The salary range for this position is 3.3 – 4.2 LPA CTC. Benefits include PF, gratuity, medical insurance (up to 3 lakh PA), paid leaves, annual increments, and promotion opportunities.
