**Job Summary:**

 

Water.org is seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Banking Portfolio Lead** to join our growing team.  This individual will play a key role in managing and expanding our portfolio of financial institutions across various regions.  

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* **Portfolio Management:** Oversee the performance of existing financial institution partnerships, ensuring they meet key performance indicators and adhere to Water.org’s lending guidelines. 

* **Partner Development:** Identify, evaluate, and onboard new financial institutions to the Water.org platform, ensuring a robust and diverse network. 

* **Technical Assistance:** Provide ongoing technical assistance and capacity building support to financial institutions, strengthening their ability to reach underserved communities. 

* **Relationship Management:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, government agencies, and other partners. 

* **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and analyze financial reports related to the banking portfolio, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

* **Strategic Planning:** Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to scale Water.org’s impact by expanding the reach of the banking portfolio. 

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in microfinance, financial services, or banking, with a focus on portfolio management. 

* Proven track record of developing and managing relationships with financial institutions.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Fluency in English required; additional language proficiency is a plus.
