**Job Title:** Block Coordinator – Immunization (GAVI-Zero Dose project)
**Location:** Rajauli Block of Nawada district, Bihar

**Experience Required:**
– Minimum 3 years’ relevant professional experience in implementing and monitoring primary healthcare programs in rural/urban areas, preferably in Bihar.
– Good understanding of NHM, SRLM, social structures, and community dynamics in the state, with experience building relationships with local government officials at block-level.
– Working experience in community intervention/community mobilization, immunization, or public health programs with the Government of Bihar (GoB).
– Experience in data collection, team building, and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including frontline workers (FLWs), communities, and government officials.
– Strong communication and networking skills to foster long-term relationships.
– Ability to work against tight timelines and document/report effectively.
– Willingness to work in a remote block and travel as needed.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Social Work, Social Science, Public Health, Rural Development, or any related field from a reputed university/institute.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Support the District Coordinator and Block health team to implement the Full Immunization Coverage (FIC) project for Zero Dose children in Bihar.
2. Coordinate with block functionaries to expedite immunization of Zero Dose (ZD) children through special camps.
3. Work closely with Block Administration, Primary Health Centre (PHC), JEEViKA-BPM, ICDS-CDPO/LS, Panchayati Raj officials, and development partners for effective planning and management.
4. Mentor ASHA, ANM, Anganwadi Workers (AAAs), PRIs, and SHGs to ensure updated registers, microplanning, and social mobilization activities.
5. Provide supportive supervision to FLWs during immunization sessions.
6. Facilitate capacity development of frontline workers, stakeholders/partners, PRIs, and influencers.
7. Develop risk-informed Annual Action Plans at village and block levels after capacity building of AAAs, PRIs, SHGs, Block, and PHC personnel.
8. Engage with local media, community radio stations, and youth groups to drive awareness on immunization.
9. Represent the organization at forums and meetings held at block/sub-divisional/district levels as needed.
10. Regularly document best practices, develop human-interest stories, and maintain accurate records of immunization activities.
