Education Qualification:

  • A graduate/ postgraduate in any subject from a government-recognised university/ institution. But preference will be given to candidates with specialization in rural development, agriculture, animal husbandry, social sciences, and social work. 
  • Postgraduate degrees through distance education (recognised by the Government) will only be considered based on the quantum and quality of the candidate’s experience in the development sector.

Work Experience:

  • Candidates with work experience in district-level positions in NRLM/ SRLMs in Institution Building, Capacity Building, Social Inclusion, Social Development, and Livelihood promotion will be preferred.
  • Preference will be given to local residents, especially women candidates, and candidates belonging to ST, SC social categories and any other marginalized communities.

Nature of work and deliverables:

 

  • This is a project-based contractual position initially for 2 years with an extension up to 1 more year with The/Nudge Institute. It doesn’t guarantee any present/ future contractual/ permanent employment with The/Nudge Institute or/and any concerned/ partner/ related organization, including community institutions. 
  • Based on the project’s performance, budget availability and requirement, the contract may be extended by The/Nudge Institute.
  • This is a purely field-based job, and a high level of stakeholder management (mainly local gram panchayats and government departments)  skills are required.
  • The work demands at least 15-17 days of field visits to different blocks and villages without dependency on any agency/organization/ individual.
  • The work demands a high level of community engagement skills, especially for women from ultra-poor households.
  • The candidate must believe that she/he is a facilitator on the field and must demonstrate a high level of empathy, integrity, flexibility, transparency, accountability and commitment. 
  • The candidate must respect and adhere to the community institutions’ values, guidelines, and policies (SHG, Village Organization, Cluster Level Federation), NRLM, SRLMs and The/Nudge Institute.
  • The candidate shall be responsible for the overall management of the project on the ground and must deliver against the timeline and output/outcomes. Work in close coordination with the
  • District Mission/ Project Management Unit of SRLM is non-negotiable.
  • The candidate shall be responsible for the management of Block Project Coordinators (BPCs) and community cadre/ community resource persons and must ensure timely completion of activities like selection of poorest of the poor households, training of community cadre, weekly handholding/ mentoring support to selected households livelihood planning for selected households, livelihood activities for selected households, families’ access to government schemes/ entitlements, their mobilization into SHGs with utmost quality.
  • The candidate shall ensure quality and timely data updates in MIS/ other systems.  
  • The candidate shall be responsible for developing field case studies on a monthly basis.
  • Responsibility of any additional work as and when assigned by The/ Nudge Institute/ SRLM.
