Job Description
Wadhwani Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that collaborates with Government of India (GoI) and State government officials with knowledge about emerging technologies. Our goal is to enable leveraging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, AR/VR, Blockchain etc. for improved policy formulation, implementation, service delivery, and outcome measurement. Wadhwani Foundationwill second Chief AI and Digital Officer (CAIDO) to ministries for developing and executing AI and digital strategy.
The Business Analyst will collaborate with the AI and Digital Transformation Officer and other stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze processes, and drive the successful implementation of AI solutions and digital transformation initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that AI projects align with organizational goals and result in tangible business outcomes. You will play a crucial role in understanding user needs, defining project scope, and translating business challenges into actionable AI and digital transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit and document clear and comprehensive requirements for AI and digital transformation projects. Understand business processes, pain points, and strategic objectives.
- Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through AI and digital technologies.
- AI Solution Scoping: Collaborate with the AI and Digital Transformation Officer and technical teams to define the scope and feasibility of AI projects, considering factors like resource requirements and potential impact.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data sources and data quality to ensure that AI projects have access to reliable and relevant data for model training and decision-making.
- Use Case Prioritization: Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on their potential business value and alignment with organizational goals.
- Change Management: Support change management efforts during AI and digital transformation initiatives, including user training and communication.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate UAT activities, ensuring that AI solutions and digital transformations meet business requirements and expectations.
- Project Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, process workflows, and project-related artifacts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, data scientists, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Desired Skills/ Competencies
i. Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field provides a strong foundation for this role.
ii. Business Analysis Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst of at least 7 years, working on projects related to AI, digital transformation, or technology initiatives.
iii. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or domain in which the AI and digital transformation projects will be implemented.
iv. AI and Digital Transformation Knowledge: Understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and digital transformation frameworks.
v. Data Literacy: Familiarity with data concepts, data modeling, and data analysis techniques.
vi. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify business needs and recommend suitable AI solutions.
vii. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
KPIs:
- Requirement Elicitation Effectiveness: Measure the completeness and accuracy of business requirements gathered for AI and digital transformation projects.
- Use Case Impact: Assess the impact of implemented AI use cases on business processes, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Project Scope Alignment: Evaluate how well AI and digital transformation projects align with the initial project scope and objectives.
- User Satisfaction: Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to assess their satisfaction with AI and digital transformation outcomes.
- Data Quality Assessment: Measure data quality and accuracy in AI projects, ensuring reliable data inputs for AI models.
- Change Management Success: Evaluate the effectiveness of change management efforts during AI and digital transformation projects.
- UAT Success Rate: Measure the success rate of user acceptance testing, ensuring that AI solutions meet user expectations.
- Project Documentation Quality: Assess the completeness and accuracy of project documentation related to AI and digital transformation initiatives.
