**Experience Required:** Preferably 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in a development sector or private sector organization.

 

**Job Description:**

 

The Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF) is a social enterprise established by Development Alternatives Group to support micro-entrepreneurs. IMEDF strives to unleash entrepreneurship through retail and digital platforms under the udyaME brand. IMEDF is also the nodal agency for the Ministry of MSME’s SFURTI scheme.

 

The udyaME platform (udyame.in) is a mobile app and website designed to empower micro-entrepreneurs by providing a comprehensive suite of online services. The platform is already operational and utilizes a Freemium model.

 

We are seeking a Business Manager to:

 

* **Understand the needs of rural micro-entrepreneurs** and align the product roadmap accordingly.

* **Anchor the rollout of marketing and sales strategies** for enterprise support services products and network development of the udyaME digital platform.

* **Build partnerships with stakeholders** and strengthen the udyaME brand.

* **Own and drive the business numbers** of products.

* **Formulate and deploy business transformational strategies** to increase performance, profitability, and business growth.

 

**Desirable Qualities:**

 

* **Ground understanding of rural micro-entrepreneurship.**

* **Demonstrated experience in understanding and driving sales initiatives** to grow customers, revenue, and accelerate growth in the delivery of products and services.

* **Experience in selling digital products** that impact the triple bottom line.

* **User-centric approach** with prior ground and corporate client facing experience.

* **Excellent communication skills.**

* **Practical, committed, and problem-solving approach.**

* **Basic knowledge of web development is a plus.**

* **Ability to travel in rural India for at least 10 days a month** depending on pandemic restrictions.
