Job Description:
- Deep technical understanding of plastic production, consumption, circular economy and waste management systems, with experience of turning theory into practical on-the ground action.
- Strong technical expertise and capacity to support in development of new strategies, action plans and policies, including alternative systems to significantly reduce single-use plastics, Deposit Return Schemes (DRS), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and improvements in waste management.
- Experience undertaking analysis to support project development in waste management and 3R
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of waste infrastructure projects and/or the improvement of waste value chains and operating procedures
- Recognized experience in engaging with national government, donors and private sector decision makers.
- Ability to research, comprehend and translate technical policy issues into a variety of writing styles (e.g. briefings, consultations, reports), which reflect the local context.
- Assist the team in executing plastic waste management, circular economy and marine litter projects
- Good research capabilities and critical thinking
- Support to the Business Development team in developing proposal methodologies
- Excellent Knowledge of MS Word, Power point and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Engineering graduate in Civil/Environment engineering and Masters in Environmental
- Engineering/Planning/MBA/Economics or other relevant fields.
- At least 7-10 years core sector experience in Waste Management.
