Vertical Summary

Under Impact Guru, Policy Guru/Carepal is an Insurtech startup. Insurance penetration in India is a huge problem. About only 20% of India has some form of health insurance. As an individual, you would have had some exposure to health insurance via policy bazaar, an agent who is generally a relative or your bank. Yet, you haven’t bought it today. Why?

This is the problem we are trying to solve by creating innovative products in this space.

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the processing of claims to ensure the procedure is handled efficiently, accurately.
Handle in a manner that protects the interests of the insured parties while also providing satisfactory customer service.
Review insurance coverage and evaluate those who have filed a claim.
Determining policy coverage and calculating claim amounts.
Ensure claim settlements, legal reviews and investigations in accordance with regulatory compliances, policies and procedures.
Review claims submissions, obtain and verify information, correspond with insurance agents and beneficiaries for process of claim payments.
Communicate with insurance agents and beneficiaries to help in claims forms and related documentation
Record and maintain insurance policy and claim information in database systems and determine policy coverage while calculating claim amounts
Respond timely to internal and external inquiries for information relative to claims.

Professional Experiences

Experience to have effectively managed a portfolio of various type of claims.
Working knowledge of the insurance industry and relevant compliance and regulations.
Proficient in MS Office
