Swasti works with the poorest and marginalized communities in India partnering them to make health and well-being real. To break the chain of COVID-19 transmission, it is imperative to protect the most marginalized.

We are currently working on delivering on the following in active partnership with coalitions of marginalized women like the Taaras Coalition and collaboratives like the #COVIDActionCollab, grassroots Community Organizations and Community Institutions, Factories, and other agencies and institutions to reach the last mile. 

Scope of Work

A vast range of design, capacity building, supervision activities are needed especially for nurses who are the primary contacts for the communities we serve. We are looking for a community medicine and public health specialist who can drive the capacity-building initiative for these frontline workers. The scope of work would include

  • Developing a pipeline of trained nurses and community health workers trained on primary health 
  • Develop systems to monitor progress of trainings and capacity building activities
  • Develop systems to monitor and track the quality of care being  delivered, including re-training and higher capacity building activities. 
  • Travel to various locations that Swasti serves for community engagement and conduct in-person reviews of program implementation; participate in data synthesis and analysis; identify key insights, opportunities and mitigation strategies for programmatic decisions
  • Clinical audits of the services provided
  • Partnerships and MoUs with local service providers
  • Developing and updating clinical protocols 
  • Keeping Swasti up-to-date on recent developments in primary health, identify gaps in current knowledge 

Qualifications:

  • A post-graduate in community medicine/nursing  (A degree in public health would be a plus) 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating various stakeholders, community engagement and developing strong relationships in order to successfully  achieve of program goals 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and confidence of understanding public health systems
