About the Role
The Communications lead is responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s communications strategy, with the goal of raising awareness and understanding of the organisation’s work among stakeholders, including donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the general public. The individual will lead a team of communication professionals and work closely with program staff to create and disseminate high-quality, engaging content across various platforms and channels.
We are specifically looking for someone who brings strong experience in digital marketing who can run campaigns across all our digital channels. They will work with Program teams, as well as the Business Development team and the People team, and manage any external consultants for organisational branding and marketing pieces of work.
Successful candidates will have a strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies, and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. They will bring hands-on experience and understanding of brand positioning and brand development, as well as some experience in editorial . They will have proven team management skills and the ability to work with complex reporting structures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyse our brand positioning and stakeholder insights, and help position the Quest brand within the sector
- Look for opportunities to communicate our vision and mission within the larger sector
- Define and manage the brand communication strategy across various platforms and mediums and own the development and messaging of the brand narrative
- Measure and report performance of all communication initiatives, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Oversee the planning and execution of the digital marketing strategy for all digital channels, including Social Media, website, SEO/SEM, and databases and newsletters.
- Lead social media content strategy and ideate on ways to make our production more creative and agile
- Work with the media specialist to ensure synergy between the media engagement strategy and the digital marketing strategy
- Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on the insights
- Work closely with program staff to ensure that the organisation’s communications materials accurately and effectively convey the impact of the organisation’s work
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the organisation
- Manage agencies and other partners
- Evaluate emerging trends in marketing and communication for the social sector. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Requirements
- Degree in communications, marketing or related fields
- Proven work experience in digital marketing and branding, with demonstrable experience leading and managing digital strategies, website management and SEO/SEM, and managing databases
- Experience managing a brand
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills
- Project management experience, with a solid understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising branding strategies and digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
