**Job Title:** Communication Lead – STEP Karnataka

**Job Location:** Bengaluru, Karnataka (with potential travel required)
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Experience Required:** 1-2 years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for the Karnataka Programs Team.
* Create engaging content in Kannada and English (press releases, articles, social media posts, newsletters, videos, infographics).
* Manage a content calendar for consistent communication.
* Translate program materials between English and Kannada, ensuring cultural appropriateness.
* Adapt communication materials to target audiences.
* Track and analyze the impact of communication efforts, using data to measure campaign effectiveness.
* Collect stakeholder feedback to improve strategies.
* Coordinate and plan both online and in-person events.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
**Required Competencies:**
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Kannada and English.
* Strong understanding of Karnataka’s cultural nuances and regional context.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and content management systems.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Passion for social impact and community development.
**Compensation:** INR 400,000 – 600,000 per annum (depending on competency and experience)
