**Job Title:** Communications and Digital Platform Fellow
**Organization:** Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) (AKRSP(I)), a program of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). AKRSP(I) works across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra, focusing on agriculture and climate resilience, work and enterprise, and rural governance.
**Job Location:** Hybrid (preferably Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India)
**Experience Required:** Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in social media management and communications.
**Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
**Job Description:**
The Communications and Digital Platform Fellow will be responsible for crafting and implementing the communication strategy for the Centre for Grower-Centric Eco-Value Mechanisms. This role involves amplifying the Centre’s vision, engaging diverse stakeholders (growers, policymakers, investors, NGOs, and the general public), and creating impactful narratives that highlight the Centre’s initiatives and achievements. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, copy editing, social media management, UX/UI development, and website development and management skills, coupled with a passion for environmental sustainability, farmers’ empowerment, and innovative eco-value mechanisms.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Strategic Communication Planning:** Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the Centre’s mission and objectives. Identify and engage key audiences.
* **Content Creation and Management:** Support UI/UX development for the Centre’s platform. Write, edit, and manage high-quality content for various platforms (press releases, newsletters, blogs, social media). Develop compelling case studies and success stories. Oversee the creation of multimedia content (videos, infographics, presentations).
* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders. Facilitate communication between farmers, researchers, and policymakers.
* **Digital Marketing and Online Presence:** Manage the Centre’s website and social media channels. Utilize analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and refine strategies.
* **Event Management:** Plan and execute events, workshops, and webinars. Represent the Centre at external engagements.
* **Crisis Communication:** Develop and implement crisis communication strategies.
**Skills and Competencies:**
* Proven expertise in content creation, media relations, and digital marketing.
* Strong understanding of environmental and grower-centric issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
* Creative storytelling and strong writing/editing abilities.
* Strategic thinking and ability to align communication goals with organizational objectives.
* Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in using digital marketing tools, analytics, and multimedia software.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
