**Job Title:** Communications Lead – Shikshāgraha
**Location:** Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (with need-based travel)
**About Mantra4Change:**
Mantra4Change is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming public education in India. Working with educational leaders and stakeholders, they aim to improve the quality of education across the country, focusing on teacher capacity building, empowering leaders with administrative and academic tools, and inspiring a collective of changemakers. Their goal is to positively impact 150,000 schools by 2025.
**About Shikshāgraha:**
Shikshāgraha is a Mantra4Change initiative and a people’s movement focused on achieving education equity in India. It brings together civil society, government, markets, and media to improve all 1 million public schools in India, ensuring equitable access to education for all children.
**About the Role:**
The Communications Lead will be part of Shikshāgraha’s Ecosystem Development team. This role involves creating compelling narratives and visual designs to amplify the Shikshāgraha movement across various channels.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Design Collaterals (40%):** Develop brochures, reports, slide decks, social media posts, banners, and other materials for Shikshāgraha initiatives and events.
* **Social Media Management (30%):** Create and implement daily social media content aligned with movement objectives, collaborating with an existing agency.
* **Content Creation and Delivery (15%):** Gather data, quotes, testimonials, and images from various stakeholders to create content for different platforms.
* **Team Support (10%):** Assist the Ecosystem Development team in promoting Shikshāgraha, including participation in convenings.
* **Knowledge Management (5%):** Build and maintain a library of communication assets, including photos, stories, and videos.
**Experience and Competencies:**
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Marketing, Media, or Communications.
* Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sociology, Psychology, or Economics.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
* Ability to learn, research, and innovate.
* Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
