**Experience Required:**
* Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, preferably in the field of wildlife and nature conservation.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to create engaging and informative content for various audiences.
* Experience in using social media platforms for communication and engagement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
**Job Description:**
TRAFFIC, a global wildlife trade monitoring network, is seeking a Communications Officer to join its India team. The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to raise awareness about wildlife trade issues and TRAFFIC’s work in India.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement communication strategies to promote TRAFFIC’s work in India.
* Create engaging and informative content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, social media posts, and website content.
* Manage TRAFFIC’s social media presence in India.
* Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
* Support the development and implementation of advocacy campaigns.
* Contribute to the development of communication materials, including reports, brochures, and presentations.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, preferably in the field of wildlife and nature conservation.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
* Strong writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to create engaging and informative content for various audiences.
* Experience in using social media platforms for communication and engagement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficiency in English and Hindi.
