**Job Description: Consultant – CSO Coordinator**  

**Location:** Gonda District, Uttar Pradesh, India  

**Duration:** 7 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier  

 

**Qualifications:**  

– **Essential:** Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.  

– **Desirable:** Master’s degree is preferable.  

 

**Experience:**  

– At least 4-6 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in public health and routine immunization (RI).  

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

– Familiarity with PRI, Village/Urban Committees, and local systems/policies.  

– Experience in vaccine promotion and disease prevention projects is desirable.  

– Knowledge of public health principles and practices.  

– Ability to speak local languages.  

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. Provide oversight to the activities of cluster coordinators and mentor them in implementing program activities, including community mobilization, influencer meetings, and social mobilization efforts.  

2. Compile and share qualitative feedback with SMNet officials and District Health Coordinators.  

3. Guide and assist cluster coordinators and ASHA workers in social mapping for effective decision-making.  

4. Document good practices or innovations by the CSO team to mobilize zero-dose children.  

5. Support the District Task Force in developing, implementing, and monitoring district social mobilization plans.  

6. Provide direct qualitative feedback from service providers and community members to CMO and WHO/NPSP on the efficacy of social mobilization strategies.  

7. Coordinate with the District Magistrate for government department support for routine immunization.  

8. Participate in advocacy at DTFs at the district level.  

9. Support Task Force meetings and SMWG meetings at the block level for social mobilization plans.  

10. Promote and monitor block and community-level activities for routine immunization, including mobilizing religious leaders, volunteers, and informal networks.  

11. Liaise with CMO/DHEIO for timely dissemination of IEC materials for routine immunization.  

12. Ensure quality implementation of state-supported IEC activities and persuasive communication techniques.  

13. Regularly compile and analyze data from ASHA areas to provide actionable insights and identify improvement areas for cluster coordinators.  

14. Capture human-interest stories from the field.  

15. Travel as required and spend 100% time in Gonda district.  

 

**Note:** The consultant will periodically visit Gonda and must reside there or nearby.
