Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.
The role and responsibilities of this position:
- Responsible for monitoring the grants (progress and compliance) and providing direct mentoring to partners as they plan their activities.
- conduct Periodic reviews of the Programme and Action Plan as per schedule and generate programme and compliance related reports
- Ensure that data and other tracking systems are followed effectively by the partner.
- Conduct field/site visits during the PME and hold detailed discussions with the partner team, families and children and community groups to offer insights for programme strengthening.
- Support partners in their engagement with different government functionaries and stakeholders at the local level. Will take forward the engagement with stakeholders and build working relationships with counterparts like DCPU, AHTU, SJPU, Dept. of Labour, and other stakeholders as appropriate in respective districts.
- Flag any challenges they observe in the program – in relation to programme, governance, financial management or reporting
- Ensure that the CB plans are implemented as per plan
- Conduct Financial reviews as per CRY’s norms which will include reviewing books of accounts, supporting documents & validation of Statutory compliances. They will monitor progress against
- Recommendations made by CRY’s Audit team.
- Ensure legal and statutory documents as part of the due diligence process and sharing it with GRM team.
- Support the AGMs and M&E person with information and knowledge for more effective strategy building and data – based analysis.
- Ensure quality human case stories for documentation and sharing with donor as well as timely data reporting.
- Organize donor visits (based on the requirement) and ensure necessary coordination
You:
You must be a Post – Graduate in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology or Rural Development from a reputed institute. You must have 7 – 9 years’ experience in of working in a child rights based organisation or from organisations engaged in issues of social justice in a rights based framework. The person should have a sound foundational understanding, passion and disposition towards working for marginalized children, especially in the areas of education and protection – and any experience in this regard shall be useful.
