About SEWA Bharat: 

Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is a movement to empower women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat is part of the national SEWA movement. Established in 1984, it is a national federation of SEWA organizations of women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat emerged out of the need to address the SEWA movement’s challenges with geographical expansion and coordination. SEWA Bharat comprises a family of SEWA organizations to further informal women workers’ rights, livelihoods, financial independence, education, health and social security.

Job Description:

• He/ She will be responsible for conducting grassroot level research in the papad industry of Bikaner
• He/ She will have to conduct exposure field visits to understand the situation of papad rolling women in Bikaner
• He/ She will be responsible for providing Standard operating procedures for papad rollers
• He/ She will be responsible for preparing SOPs on Quality control parameters for papad industry subject to climatic conditions
• He/ She will conduct sessions on Quality Control parameters with field mobilizers, supervisors and aagewan for implementation in the field
• He/ She will be suggesting strategic intervention for income generation of papad rolling women in Bikaner
• He/ She will be responsible for identification of occupational health hazard associated with papad rolling and to suggest preliminary measures to avoid occupational hazards
• He/She will be responsible to provide modules on Occupational health hazards, Quality and hygiene control

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Food Technology
• Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Hindi
• Goal oriented approach to work
• Problem solving ability

Qualification and Experience:

• Post-Graduation from recognized university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in NGOs, Governmental organization and schemes
• Experience in rural development and Food Technology

Location and Duration:

Bikaner-Rajasthan | 2 months (can be increased based on performance)
