Child Rights and You is India’s premier child rights NGO. We work to ensure lasting change in children’s lives by ensuring child rights through community empowerment. We do this by working with grassroots-level NGOs, communities and their children, influencing government policies, raising funds, and efficiently disbursing them, creating awareness and mobilizing people’s opinions on child rights.
Your Role:
The person will be an integral member of the research function within CRY – Child Rights and You. The primary role of the research function in CRY is to generate evidence to facilitate both programming as well as policy advocacy towards CRY goals.
The role shall be responsible for spearheading national as well as regional research. It would entail conceptualising and implementing research studies at the national level as well as undertaking secondary research on various child rights indicators. It would also be responsible for planning and developing research strategies with the aim of primarily supporting its advocacy efforts and also influencing and informing its programming. The emphasis of this role is also on building organisation’s knowledge of the various facets of child rights through research, documentation and analysis. The role also demands developing ethics and quality parameters for research and surveys conducted in CRY and evaluating studies conducted for adherence to quality parameters.
About You:
The candidate must be a postgraduate in Statistics, MBA with Statistics and Social Sciences with Statistics as one of the subjects, preferably with M.Phil / PhD. The candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in research, including at least four years of experience in quantitative research. The candidate should be technically quipped in Research Methodology, Statistical Tools and analytical software, Data Management and analysis and final Research Report. The person should possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Understanding child rights issues would be an added advantage.
