Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • The Subject Matter Experts will work with the Program Managers to ensure quality content creation.
  • Additionally, they will collaborate with government stakeholders and members across teams as and when required.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Research evidence-based practices and subject-specific training content on Telugu subjects and pedagogy.
  • Design PPTs and sessions for teachers, School Complex Leaders, and officers as necessary
  • Design various components for blended learning courses, encompassing presentations, and voice-over narration scripts, alongside lesson plans and other material for teachers, to foster robust
  • support and cultivate their ongoing professional development in Telugu teachers.
  • Design assessments to check for knowledge mastery for training
  • Translations from English to Telugu, and vice versa, on a need basis.  

Requirements:
 
Education & Experience 

  • B.Ed/M.Ed/Graduation in respective school subjects. A master’s degree will be preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in teaching/content development/curriculum development across grades 6-10 in Telugu subjects.  
  • Experience working in Andhra Pradesh / Telangana would be preferable.
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments delivering high-quality outputs, working with rigorous feedback, and ability to stick to deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Telugu is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of English both in written and oral communication is necessary.  
  • Being able to take initiative and work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment.
  • Belief in the potential of the public sector and that government systems can and will change toward overcoming systemic inequities and ensuring improved outcomes for all citizens.
  • A basic understanding of social equity, development discourse, and education policy in India.
  • Adaptability to changing responsibilities and resourcefulness to respond to them.
  • High openness to learning and collaboration.
  • Strong ability to create outstanding presentations, and work with Microsoft Excel & Google Suite.
  • Patience and resilience to stick it out in the face of setbacks and uncertainties.

Location and Compensation

location: Remote

Compensation: Apart from being a part of a young and dynamic learning team, the individual will receive a healthy consultancy fee at par with the non-profit sector benchmark for this position, commensurate with the individual’s prior experience and qualifications. The current compensation band offered, based on fit and experience, is 4.00 – 6.00 lakh INR per annum CTC.
