**About the SALT Project**

 

Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) is a multi-organizational project aiming to improve the quality of teaching and learning in classrooms across Andhra Pradesh. The project focuses on:

 

* Strengthening Foundational Learning

* Improving the quality of Student-Teacher Interactions

* Strengthening Institutional Capacity for Service Delivery

 

The SALT project is implemented in close collaboration with the Department of School Education (DoSE), GoAP, and state-level administrative units, including the SCERT, SIEMAT, and DIETs.

 

**Job Description**

 

As a Content and Training Associate, you will work closely with Program Managers and Implementation Coordinators to ensure the successful implementation of the SALT project. You will also collaborate with government stakeholders and other team members as needed.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Research and develop evidence-based practices and subject-specific training content on academic subjects and pedagogy.

* Design PowerPoint presentations and training sessions for teachers, School Complex Leaders, and officers.

* Design blended learning courses, including presentations, voice-over narration scripts, lesson plans, and other material to support teachers’ professional development.

* Create assessments to evaluate knowledge mastery in training programs.

* Coordinate with LMS platform designers to align content requirements.

* Contribute to project reports and support managers and coordinators in achieving project deliverables.

* Conduct regular update meetings with organizational leadership and provide progress reports to stakeholders.

* Create timely project status and impact reports for the leadership team.

* Conduct observations or user interviews to gather feedback and improve content.

* Participate in organizational team spaces and structures.

 

**Requirements:**

 

* **Education:** Degree in education, teacher development, social science, or management. Master’s degree preferred.

* **Experience:** 2-5 years of experience leading large-scale training programs, preferably with the government or government school teachers. 1-2 years of experience as a teacher is desirable. 

* **Proven Experience:** Demonstrated expertise in content design, classroom teaching, and teacher training.

* **Preferred:** Experience working in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

 

**Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:**

 

* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

* Functional knowledge of Telugu is preferred.

* Strong content development skills for video scripts, storyboards, and training sessions.

* Ability to work autonomously and manage projects in a semi-structured environment.

* Belief in the potential of the public sector to overcome systemic inequities.

* Understanding of social equity, development discourse, and education policy in India.

* Adaptability and resourcefulness to changing responsibilities.

* High openness to learning and collaboration.

* Ability to create compelling presentations and work with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.

* Patience and resilience to overcome challenges.

 

**Location and Compensation:**

 

* **Location:** Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Frequent travel to rural areas across the state.

* **Compensation:** Competitive salary at par with non-profit sector benchmarks, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The current compensation band offered is 4.00 – 6.00 lakh INR per annum CTC.
