Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Content Writer to join our dream team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media and development sector content especially in the field of education, technology and public policy.

He/she must possess strong writing skills to effectively communicate our organization’s mission, initiatives, and impact across channels. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, copywriting, branding, report writing, blog and article submissions. Additionally, the candidate must have a solid background or relevant experience in Public Policy.

Responsibilities: 

1.  Content Creation: Research, develop, and write engaging and impactful content related to public policy issues in the social impact and education sector. This includes white papers, research papers, policy observations, position statements, and more documents.

2.  Social Media: Create compelling copies and shareable content for various platforms, ensuring consistency with our brand voice and tone. Manage posting and calendar execution across platforms.

3.  Copywriting: Craft persuasive copy for marketing materials, campaigns, and fundraising initiatives. Adapt messaging to different target audiences and social media channels, maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice.

4.  Internal and External Communication: Collaborate with team members to create internal communications, such as newsletters and memos, to ensure policy updates are effectively shared across the organization. Support external communication efforts, including press releases, media pitches, and stakeholder communications.

5.  Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports and analysis on grassroot issues, synthesizing complex information into clear and concise summaries. Present findings to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.

6.  Blog and Article Submissions: Produce high-quality blog posts, articles, and opinion pieces on relevant policy topics. Research and identify opportunities for external publication and submit written pieces to reputable platforms, showcasing our organization’s expertise.

7.    Script Writing: Write video content for short films, impact videos, and stakeholder interviews/media bytes. 

Qualifications:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, or a related field. Proven experience of 1 years in social development, education or policy-focused writing and content creation is required.

2.  Demonstrated knowledge of public policy issues in the social impact sector, including familiarity with current trends, challenges, and best practices. Ability to analyze complex policy matters and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.

3.  Exceptional English & Hindi written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

4.  Proficiency in managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

5.  Proven ability to write persuasive copy for marketing materials and campaigns. Excellent editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

6.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in internal and external communication, including stakeholder management and media relations, is highly desirable.

7.  Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize complex information into easily understandable content. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide evidence-based insights.

Other Requirements: Mandatory experience in development sector, education background in public policy. It will be preferred if the candidate has his/her own laptop for the proper execution of roles and responsibilities.

Compensation:
