With our extensive network of partners, we seamlessly implement our effective, innovative, communitybased programmes to the HIV-affected key populations.

Alongside direct project implementation, Alliance India also partners with NGOs and CBOs to support efforts that would sustainably impact HIV. With the core principle of Community First, we work to ensure that vulnerable and marginalised people are meaningfully roped in all aspects of our response. These communities include sex workers, men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs, transgender individuals, Children and adolescents and people living with HIV. The realms of our work are care, support & treatment, prevention, sexuality, gender & rights. Learnings from our success stories are ploughed back into our programmes and policies. We abide by quality and accountability in our interventions, technical support, and grant management.

Job Description/Responsibilities

The incumbent’s primary responsibility would be resource mobilisation and liaison with various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and other corporate & philanthropy foundations, fulfilling the fundraising targets. The person would assess the CSR opportunities meticulously and draw up appropriate pitching strategies for prospective donor organisations. They would develop relevant and unique concept notes and funding proposals in conjunction with our Programme Team. The position would also entail necessary follow-ups and fruitful negotiations with donors for the proper conclusion of proposals. They would also consistently engage with the existing corporate donors to review and finalise donor reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for participating and adding value to developing and implementing a corporate fundraising strategy to ensure a sustained inflow of funds.
  • Conduct thorough desk research to identify and maintain a robust database of potential donors from the corporate & PSU sector (CSR, CRM & Employee engagements)
  • Develop befitting pitch-in strategies for various donors and build long-standing relationships/ partnerships.
  • Together with the programme/technical teams, the person would write pertinent and quality proposals.
  • They would keep abreast of any/all changes in the CSR domain/laws, especially with compliance issues and ensure adherence in all respects. 2
  • Ensure that project deliverables abide by quality and timeline in close coordination with the rest of the team members wherever required, including apt donor reporting.
  • Conduct and lead logistics/site visits/volunteering for the corporates and individual partners whenever needed.
  • The person must adapt to the organisation’s mission, vision and values and work within the matrix of its equal opportunities. They should exhibit profile-appropriate behaviour and competency.
  • The incumbent would partake of some other responsibilities not mentioned above but commensurate with this role in the charitable sector. The line manager and the functionary would discuss and agree upon the same.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Must be a Post Graduate in social work or MBA in pertinent streams. Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant and proven experience in corporate fundraising or similar roles.
  • Understanding of the fundraising market in India
  • Knowledge of CSR laws and other laws impacting corporate fundraising.

Skills & Expertise

  • Empathetic towards social causes with a strong commitment to greater social impact.
  • Self-driven, independent and result-oriented with a positive mindset to achieve goals
  • Ability to think strategically, innovatively, and practically to ensure the achievement of goals.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets & experience in the Indian CSR scenario.
  • Good networking would be a decided plus.
  • Proficiency and good communication skills (oral, written and interactive) in English and Hindi.
  • Flexible enough as a team person and an individual. The position calls for a high level of coordination with our programmes/technical teams.
  • Open to travel both inter and intra-city.
