Job Purpose

Fundraisers organize events and campaigns to raise money and other donations for the organization. They may design promotional materials and increase awareness of an organisation’s work, goals and financial needs.

Primary roles and responsibilities: 

  • Research funding opportunities and prospective donors.
  • Write grant application to charitable trusts or statutory bodies.
  • Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
  • Conduct fundraising strategies for organization
  • Organize a campaign or event that will lead to soliciting donations
  • Build relationships with major donors or companies and make presentations
  • Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on a database
  • Ensuring major donors or companies are happy with their donation and are kept informed of progress and milestones
  • Spot fundraising opportunities and raise awareness of the organisation’s work


Knowledge skills and attitude required: 

  • Need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Hindi.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Need to be good at researching and devising strategies and opportunistically taking advantage of donation possibilities
  • Must be adept at people management, building long-term relationships with potential donors or volunteers and persuasively explaining their charity’s cause
  • Ability to manage budgets and hit fundraising targets are important, as are organization and IT skills.
  • An interest in, and commitment to, the cause you are raising funds for is essential.
  • Willingness to travel to the project areas as per requirement


  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Master degree programs in philanthropic studies or fundraising.
  • Knowledge about MS Office & E-mail

​Experience:  0-2 years’ experience as a fundraiser. It maybe internship, volunteer or work experience. Women candidates are preferred.


Salary: 25-30K
