The Mindsets Actions Research Project (MARch) is an innovative new area of work within the Shiksha Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team. MARch primarily aims to define and convincingly measure what youth are able to DO in the real-world – encompassing the dimensions of mindsets, knowledge and skills. We believe MARch has the potential to create impact at multiple levels of social value across India. We aim to make the “measurement of doing” an enabler for multiple use cases and we hope to contribute evidence to the life skills ecosystem by capturing learner voices and contextual actions.

You will:

  • Plan and execute the implementation of MARch impact measurement tools and experiments (including prototyping, piloting and large-scale testing)
  • Build relationships and work closely with on-ground operations and program teams
  • Manage quantitative and qualitative data collection from the field
  • Support research, tool design, data analysis and insight-generation efforts
  • Support dissemination of findings and insights (writing and presenting)

You already have:

  • At least 3 years of experience with implementation and M&E
  • Field experience in the development sector
  • Research, tool development and assessment design
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of large datasets
  • Comfort with tech and statistical analysis software (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS)
  • Strong project management, problem-solving and execution skills including risk management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of people

Location:

Strong preference to be Bangalore-based; frequent travel to program locations across India
