**Job Description:**
Swaniti Initiative is seeking a Corporate Finance Specialist to support financial operations across multiple projects with potential influence on policy-level decision-making. The role requires strong technical expertise in accounting systems, accuracy, and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should be a proactive problem-solver with excellent coordination and communication skills, enthusiastic about aligning financial processes with broader project and policy goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Develop financial models with business teams across the Group for capital raising, focusing on credit assessment.
– Manage global offices in the US and South Africa, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and local laws.
– Analyze financial statements (cash flow, B/S, P&L), cash flow projections, EBITDA, sensitivity analysis, etc.
– Discuss financial models independently with prospective lenders, investors, and internal business teams.
– Support seniors in interactions with banks/FIs/funds/law firms/technical experts for due diligence and documentation in capital raising endeavors.
– Work on short-term assignments across locations, including overseas.
– Support month-end and year-end close processes and ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
– Manage local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings.
– Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
– Handle transfer pricing and international entities setup.
– Implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets.
– Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
**Requirements:**
– Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, general accounting, cash-flows, financial ratios, etc.
– Experience with budgeting, internal controls, and financial reporting regulations and standards.
– Familiarity with financial software applications such as Tally and QuickBooks.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
– Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
– Prior experience in strategy and business roles in startups is a plus.
– Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
– Qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
