Job Opportunity for Credit Risk Executive at Grameen Foundation in Bhandara

Position Title: Credit Risk Executive
Status: 1-year Consultant contract (renewable)
Start Date: October 2022
Location: Bhandara, Maharashtra. The position requires extensive travelling travel to operational locations

Required Education, Experience & Skills

• Graduate or master’s degree, with at least 3-5 years of experience and being well verse in working with Bank/NBFC/MFI’s
• Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products with strong analytical skills
• Experience of working in financial services for the poor through mobile and digital services platforms and deep knowledge of Business Correspondent Model will be an added advantage.

Essential Job Functions

The Credit Risk Executive would be responsible for leading activities including credit review, credit approvals and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Manager Internal Audit and Risk.

• Review loan request generated by field Agents and access clients’ financial status in accordance to the request.
• Contact customers to gather financial data such as monthly income and expenditure etc.
• Evaluate creditworthiness and risks of the customers
• Analyse risks and approve or reject loan requests at the initial level before forwarding to the Credit Committee for approval.
• Conducting independent loan utilization checks of the loans disbursed to customers
• Monitor progress of all existing loans disbursed to the customer of Grameen Mittra
• Ensure risk in the operational area are continually reviewed and analysed in the course of the internal audit exercise.

Reporting and relationships: The position will report to Manager-Risk & Audit.
