Key responsibilities

Data Analysis 

  • Understand and articulate key objectives of data analytics in the context of the said project
  • Develop data collection strategies and design surveys, questionnaires and data collection forms
  • Establish relevant data architecture to mine data from primary and secondary sources and develop standardised databases
  • Conduct relevant quantitative/qualitative analysis on the data sets on a periodic basis to cull out meaningful insights and build a narrative that addresses the program objectives
  • Present data insights in a concise and meaningful manner using data dashboards and visualisations; prepare clear and concise data reports for various types of stakeholders
  • Curate data based reports to enable informed decision making
  • Use statistical tools (as relevant to the project) to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable
  • Implement data management and quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of data

Project Management 

  • Independently build and execute project plans, and  manage daily responsibilities efficiently
  • Actively track project milestones and manage multiple streams within the project to ensure execution as per timelines
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Proactively identify and report project-related risks, mitigating them in consultation with the project lead
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of key project knowledge assets, ensuring all critical information is well-documented and easily accessible
  • Problem Solving 
  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately frame complex problems and translate them into clear and actionable questions for self and team
  • Identify and collect necessary data and information, synthesising them to derive the insights required to address the problem effectively
  • Take ownership of the problem-solving process; demonstrate a robust inclination toward taking action and prioritising client needs
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and seek assistance when needed to ensure effective problem resolution
    Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with team members to ensure the achievement of high-quality project deliverables on time
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders of the organisation to support business growth initiatives
  • Give and receive constructive feedback to the team members in a respectable manner
  • Manage conflict within the team in an open and transparent manner

The Ideal Candidate

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in consulting, social enterprises, consulting firms or global foundations
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in data science, information technology, or business analytics engineering.
  • Degrees in other fields such as economics, statistics, development studies, business management, or any other equivalent are also acceptable if accompanied by a certification or diploma in data analysis
  • High proficiency in softwares such as Tableau, PowerBI and Looker Studio; certifications in these thematic areas would be highly desirable
  • Prior experience in leading small teams is an added advantage
  • Prior experience in a client or customer facing role; Prior experience of delivering Government engagements would be highly desirable
  • Prior experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment will be an added advantage  
  • Self-driven, curious, and adaptable personality with the ability to produce high-quality results
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication (English and Hindi)
