## Deputy Director – Government Relations & Policy Advocacy

**Job Description:**
We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Director to join our Global Trade Development team in Noida. This role is pivotal in shaping Nasscom’s engagement with government and building a positive narrative for the Indian technology sector internationally.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Government Relations:** Lead Government Relations efforts for the Global Trade Development (GTD) team, building strong relationships with key ministries like MeitY, Department of Commerce, and Ministry of External Affairs. This includes:
* Partnering with government on key initiatives
* Navigating Nasscom grants through ministries and departments
* Hosting inward delegations requested by GOI/ Indian Missions overseas
* Representing Nasscom in government meetings
* Serving as the primary point of contact for Global Trade Development
* **Content Creation & Management:** Develop compelling content for submissions, white papers, and presentations on critical global trade topics, such as:
* Trade in services
* Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
* Digital trade
* Talent mobility
* Data transfers in cross-border contexts
* **Stakeholder Coordination & Management:** Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including:
* US agencies and member companies working on engagements with the US Administration and Congress on key issues like visas, Social Security agreements, Artificial Intelligence, and data privacy
* Think tanks and third-party consulting organizations to ensure effective federal government engagement and shape the industry narrative
* Member companies to address their concerns and provide necessary support
**Qualifications & Experience:**
* Post Graduate degree in any discipline
* 15+ years of experience in a relevant field (Government Relations, Policy Advocacy, Trade, International Affairs)
* Proven track record of successful engagement with government and key stakeholders
* Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
* Strong understanding of international trade dynamics, particularly in the technology sector
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
* Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop compelling arguments
* Strong conflict management skills and a collaborative approach
* Ethical mindset and commitment to the broader cause of fostering a thriving tech ecosystem
