Job description:

In order to support micro and small entrepreneurs, the Development Alternatives Group has established the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF) as the social enterprise to promote cluster development in rural India. IMEDF is the nodal agency for ministry of MSME’s Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI). Set up with an aim to boost an ecosystem for green and inclusive entrepreneurship, IMEDF promotes and support enterprise models through

  • Transfer and adaptation of innovative technology-based business models for cluster development.
  • Capacity and skill building for business management, planning and operations.
  • Liaising with government and private agencies for scaling up Cluster operations.

IMEDF is expanding its Portfolio across India and has already established Clusters in 12 States. The organisation is looking for a professional who can support Cluster development initiatives and carry out scaling up business operations with Partners.

Some key responsibilities and deliverables for the candidate are listed below:

Learning and Knowledge Management:

  • Assessment of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for new and existing cluster from concept note stage.
  • Support & monitor on ground implementation activities.
  • Management of grants and expenditure for the clusters under SFURTI.
  • Collation of Progress Data & Reporting to Min of MSME.
  • Support IMEDF team in capacity building initiatives for cluster development.
  • Process performance analytics of Clusters with regards to Social, Economic and Environmental impacts.
  • Knowledge management in form of case studies, articles, stories etc.

DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

  • Experience directly in cluster operations, FPOs and SHGs is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of rural economy model, marketing and design.
  • Good communication, documentation and Social media management skills.
  • Desire and ability to travel in rural India for at least 7-10 days a month
