## Development Organizer – Social
**Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India)** is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of rural communities in India. We work in partnership with local communities to promote sustainable development through a variety of programs in the areas of agriculture, rural governance, and work and enterprise.
**Job Location:** Santalpur Block, Patan District and Vav Block – Banaskantha District, Gujarat, India
**Experience Required:** Minimum 1.5 – 2 years of experience in a relevant field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in rural development, social work, or related fields.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated **Development Organizer – Social** to join our team in Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of rural development principles and a commitment to working with marginalized communities.
**Responsibilities:**
* Community interaction and management
* Conduct PRA exercises, baseline surveys, and VDP development
* Contribute towards village development activities like agriculture, watershed, Natural Resource Management, Micro enterprise, animal husbandry, etc.
* SHG management and development
* Facilitate institution building
**Skills & Competencies:**
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Interest in working with rural communities
* Basic understanding of planning, designing, and execution processes of development interventions
* Basic understanding of data and report writing
* Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Ability to ride a two-wheeler
**Qualifications:**
* Graduate/Postgraduate in social science, Rural Development, Rural management, Agriculture, or another related subject.
* Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate degrees and relevant experience.
* Preference will be given to female candidates.
