WWF-India is seeking applications from professionals with strong marketing and communications background to be a part of its marcom division. The position supervises Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital initiatives and Conservation Product areas.
The purpose of the marcom division is –
- Designing innovative, integrated communication strategies for effective engagement with external audiences.
- Leveraging innovation in social media & technology to boost reach and engagement.
- Act as a force multiplier and support to the Fundraising functions.
Key responsibilities:
I. Leadership & Functional
- Provide leadership and guidance to Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital initiatives and to the Conservation Products functions at WWF India.
- Conceptualize and execute the digital outreach, engagement and specific fundraising initiatives.
- Strengthen the brand recognition and awareness amongst key audiences.
- Provide expert support to various functions to ensure that WWF-India is strategic and compelling in its outreach and engagement with external stakeholders.
- Manage the performance and development of assigned team through continuous mentoring.
II. Strategic
- Lead the development of an integrated marketing, communications, media and fundraising strategy that leverages the unique strengths of WWF to achieve ambitious targets for engagement and the growth of revenues.
- Build synergies in communications and outreach activities across WWF-India.
- Represent WWF India in the international network in matters concerning functional area.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership (SG & CEO, Programme Director, Chief Operating Officer) and Functional Heads of various Programme functions to deliver on organizational goals.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- An advanced degree in management, business administration or marketing.
- 15 years of professional experience in leadership roles, with demonstrated success in leading teams.
- Proven success in developing and executing successful business strategies
- Experience in implementing marketing and communication strategies that leverages the power of online media and audience engagement.
- Knowledge and experience of the not-for-profit sector/ environment organizations is an advantage.

- Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to nurture and build a team of highly motivated managers and staff.
- Proven execution ability to deliver outreach and financial outcomes in a complex environment.
- Strategic and analytical skills, including an ability to crystallize key strategic options for discussion and decision.

- Has a passion for the cause of conservation and promoting its outreach.
Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:
I. Internal: Secretary General & CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Programme Director, Fund Raising Heads and Heads of various Programme functions.
II. External: Alliance partners (existing & potential), senior executives from business & industry, press & media.
