About Magic Bus India Foundation:
Magic Bus works with children and young people taking them on a journey from Childhood to Livelihood and out of poverty. By enabling children to complete secondary education, delay their age of marriage, and skilling young people to be in jobs, we are helping move a generation out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
Founded by Matthew Spacie in 1999, Magic Bus equips children and young people in the age group of 12 to 18, with the skills and knowledge they need, to grow up and move out of poverty. This takes them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods. Since its inception, Magic Bus has transformed the lives of one million children and young people, helping them move out of poverty.
Role :
Digital Marketing & Communication : The Chief of – Digital Marketing, Communications & Retail Fundraising is responsible for Project manage the brand repositioning exercise, strategic design, implementation and management of a range of on-line & off-line communication strategies, targeting individual prospects, Donor institutions, HNI donors, Celebrities, media and industry engagement, to promote the presence, values and outreach of Magic Bus India Foundation and its role as the pioneer of societal change both at national and global platforms. This will be achieved through a combination of corporate communications, public affairs, press office and e-marketing development communication strategies. While the role will predominantly work on the online platforms, ability to horizontally deploy value-adding practices on offline platforms would be tremendous value add.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory services to the Senior Management team and on request to the Board of Directors of Magic Bus India Foundation on matters concerning Communication, Marketing, and Fundraising etc. The person must have expertise in at least 2 of these 3 domains mentioned herein.
- Develop strategic communications planning for promotion and dissemination of marketing digital, video, audio and print content like organic communication such as storytelling, advertising and performance marketing via multiple channels in line with the organization’s goals and supporting all departments and organizational functions.
- Recruitment and maintenance of media partnerships, Social media influencers and community representatives
- Oversee Development of promotions and communications liaising with other departments and the Management Team.
- Lead a team of communication, marketing, and design professionals in conjunction with the web team, enable create, adapt, improve and optimize web communication for organic and keyword search
- Develop Brand voice, manage the Organization branding, develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Flickr, Google+, Pinterest, Snapchat,WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Messenger, Quora ,Reddit among others. Enable Develop other, relevant social media outlets to support and expand digital presence of Magic Bus.
- Manage presence at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Accountable for Email marketing and inbound marketing management largely from Individual as well as institutional Donor base stand points.
- Enable Email campaign development for Magic Bus programmes and its fresh initiatives from time to time and their implementation over the digital platforms.
- Track target audience engagement across various platforms and enable Collect primary and secondary data, analysis and provide insights into relevant data which would enable Magic bus take important decisions at the appropriate time.
Print and Social Media
- Ensure all relationships with press are appropriately managed to ensure Magic Bus’ reputation is created and managed in an optimal way
- Enable and facilitate Optimize social media and blog campaigns to generate interaction, brand exposure, and Donor base development.
- Identify appropriate print and social media channels and build relationships with key journalists and publications to ensure that Magic Bus is widely covered in relevant journals and projected as though leaders in the field of child’s right and sport for development.
- Continue to build and maintain Magic Bus’ strong online reputation, and be its biggest advocate in the print and social media.
- Establish an effective presence in Social Sector, Financial and government-published magazines inter-alia and social media sites
- Develop and implement Donor / prospect/external stakeholders’ service response to common complaints, concerns and a process in which they are resolved and communicated
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed and protect the brand through monitoring of partner usage through tracking all external postings about Magic Bus

Desired Competencies:
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- The ideal person must have hands-on expertise in a combination of at least 2 off amongst corporate communications, public affairs, press office and e-marketing development communication strategies if not all 3.
- Experience in Management of Digital communications team in a global environment in the wake of all challenges and opportunities obvious as well as hidden. Knowledge of managing with inbound marketing systems, familiarity with marketing automation practices, copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing.
- Knowledge and Experience in managing teams handling Digital Marketing with a focus in content development and/or reporting, knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
- Ability to build and nurture relationships with online and offline media, the former being a mandatory ask.
- Expert knowledge in the latest in digital and social media technology and channels and how to best leverage for marketing programs as part of an overall social business strategy
- Excellent project and deadline management skills
- Preference for professionals with exposure to Media and Television, Celebrity management, Image consulting, Social sector.
- Market research knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Ability to optimize print media to generate brand exposure, and Donor base development would be added advantage.
Qualification and Experience:
- Post Graduate in Communications with MBA in Marketing
- Minimum 22 year’s experience in the relevant functions / role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
