Job Description
We are looking for a marketing & communications leader who can elevate the brand value of Bhumi. You will develop marketing & communication strategies for better engagement with employees, volunteers, donors, partner organisations and corporate companies. You will be part of a dynamic, driven, and passionate young team of employees (~ 50 members) and volunteers (hundreds of them
Create brand awareness about Bhumi through impactful communication disseminated across all communication channels. Ensure TOM brand recall for organization and its activities. Plan and implement organizational Communications to support project objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Strategize and manage the messaging on websites and ensure the brand perception is consistently positive across all channels especially online. Be the brand custodian.
- Develop internal and external communications strategies, and execute them for projects, events, and the organization as a whole
- Responsible for strategizing and creating impactful content to target stakeholders through online and offline channels
- Collaborate and mentor a team of 6 to 8 marketing professionals to meet organization’s Marketing and communication needs
- Design and monitor targeted online and offline campaigns. Use data insights and feedbacks for identifying growth opportunities
- Create innovative communication ideas and deploy industry best practices to enhance effectiveness in building Bhumi brand.
- Develop PR strategy , monitor press releases and develop relationships with key journalists to build awareness about organization’s initiatives
- Strategize and execute brand and lead generation campaigns for potential stakeholders: volunteers, donors and organisations like Corporates, colleges, schools etc.
- Strategize and support digital fundraising and engagement initiatives to acquire and retain donors and fundraisers
What You Need
- Creatively curious mind with a flair for copywriting and content creation for traditional as well as new-age social media channels
- Good understanding of web analytics, digital and social media marketing
- Use latest measurement frameworks for performance-driven marketing
- Be a effective story teller and build the brand using related and consistent content
- Should be tech Savvy. Knowledge of marketing tech stack is must.
- Ability to work with digital / design agencies and subject matter experts in the allied domains.
- Willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment, network and collaborate with volunteer coordinators based out of cities where Bhumi is present
- Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
- Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategy
- 8+ years of experience in the marketing / communications role
What Is Nice to Have
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in marketing, journalism, business, or related field
- Ability to communicate in Tamil, English and Hindi
- Prior experience of working or volunteering with NGOs
- Good network in the traditional media and digital/social media influencers

Remuneration: based on the candidate’s profile

Job Location: The job location is Chennai, but for exceptional candidates who have a proven track record of managing a team remotely, the option for remote working can be made available
