Roles and responsibilities:

Internal Products:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of NavGurukul’s core learning platform and other internal applications.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and optimisation within the tech team.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from ideation and planning to deployment and maintenance.
  • Manage the technology budget and ensure efficient resource allocation for internal projects.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum and learning experience teams to ensure technology seamlessly supports our unique pedagogy.
  • Other Projects:
  • Identify and evaluate potential technology partnerships and integrations to enhance our offerings.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies that can support our mission and create a competitive edge.
  • Manage external projects and initiatives related to technology, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive tech environment, promoting professional development and growth within the team.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, effectively communicating the value of technology.
     

Apply if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and leadership roles, preferably in the education or non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing tech teams.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies and best practices (Agile, DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience in building and maintaining scalable and secure web applications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for NavGurukul’s mission and a commitment to democratising tech education.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Experience with educational technology platforms and/or non-profit organisations is a plus.

    Compensation & Culture
  • NavGurukul’s salaries are at par with most not-for-profits in the country. For this role, the salary bracket is 10 LPA to 15 LPA.
