**About the Position:**
**Position Name:** District Coordinator – Credit Offsetting Rice Emission (CORE)

**Project Background:**
The Credit Offsetting Rice Project (CORE) aims to engage 20,000 women and men farmers in methods to reduce carbon emissions in rice cultivation, demonstrating scalability in smallholder farmer aggregation. Key outcomes include increased access to climate-resilient technologies for women farmers, strengthened women’s agency and capacities, and improved availability of sex-disaggregated data to inform gender-responsive agricultural practices. The project is a consortium effort involving OLAM Agri, the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), and UN Women India. PCI India will implement the Haryana component, focusing on strengthening women smallholder farmers’ access to climate-resilient techniques and diversified livelihood opportunities, while mainstreaming gender across all project aspects.
**Job Summary:**
The District Coordinator will be pivotal in implementing the CORE project in Jind, Haryana. Responsibilities include coordinating, monitoring, and executing project activities, engaging with local stakeholders and communities, and ensuring project goals are met.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Execute project activities according to the plan.
* Oversee daily district-level operations.
* Build and maintain relationships with local communities.
* Facilitate community meetings and discussions.
* Collaborate with local government and partners.
* Develop and implement community awareness campaigns.
* Conduct training sessions for beneficiaries.
* Provide ongoing support and guidance to beneficiaries.
* Monitor project progress and ensure compliance.
* Collect data and prepare comprehensive reports.
* Manage the project budget at the district level.
* Collect and maintain accurate project data.
* Maintain detailed project records and documentation.
* Perform other relevant duties as required.
**Expected Qualifications:**
* **Academic Qualifications:** Minimum Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate degree (MBA/PGDM) in rural management, social work, or agri-business preferred.
* **Professional Experience:** Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the private sector or government.
* **Skills and Attributes:** Proven experience in project implementation and community engagement; familiarity with the local context and agricultural practices in Jind, Haryana; knowledge of environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation; ability to work with diverse stakeholders; proficiency in data collection and reporting; computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite); fluency in local language advantageous; strong people management and coordination skills; excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
